What do our customers need ?

Nowadays, more and more electronic devices are entering our lives. The designs and applications vary, but they all require a secure enclosure with cable entries and the ability to install various control elements.

It is too expensive to produce a specific plastic housing for each application, as each option would require a separate molding form, the price of which is measured in thousands.

Recognizing this problem, we developed the PS-014 series, which allows you to customize a universal enclosure for every application at a low cost.

 

 

How did we achieve this ?

We sought to develop a universal, adaptable production equipment that would allow for a variety of options while maintaining uniform dimensions and conditions. 

As a result, we can currently produce one dimension base part and two different sizes of lids. 

But we won’t stop here and plan to expand our offering in the future.

How big should this enclosure be ?

First we choose the optimal dimensions. They had to be not too big, but such that there was enough space for some cable entries and several control elements. We had to take into account that many automation elements today are made to be mounted on a DIN rail.

Taking all this into account, we concluded that the dimensions of the base part should be approximately 100*185 mm.

But regarding the height of the box, we conclude that at least two options are needed.

If you need to place a PCB in the enclosure or make some connections and install small control elements, the low profile will be sufficient for You. As example, in low-profile enclosures You can join some fiber optic cables or install one or two power sockets. May be a proximity sensor or small LCD display can be hidden inside. Internal height for low-profile enclosures is 44 mm

If You need to install some automation device that mounts on a DIN rail or power supply, then the low profile enclosure will not be enough for You.

For such purposes, we offer a high profile enclosures. Using the cover with increased height, internal height reaches 89 millimeters. This allows You to safely install various DIN-mountable elements, surge protectors, mesuring devices, electric counters, relays and many other electrical devices.

 

Customizable base part

What are we going to put inside ?

We currently offer five mounting options for the base part.

These options allow you to place and secure various equipment on the base. Using metal plates PS-14BP1 or PS-14BP2 You can install various electric and electronic elements.  If necessary, it is possible to create other fastenings, depending on technical capabilities. If You put a normal DIN-rail mountable elements on those plates, they will not be accessable from outside.

Mid-level plates

The mid-level plate combined with the high profile cap allows the installation of DIN-rail mountable elements so that they can be accessed from the outside, for example – circuit breakers

What can we put on the cap ?

As mentioned above, we currently offer two cap options – low profile caps and high profile caps.Our production equipment is designed so that we can create two openings on each lid. Please see the drawing. In zones A and B, it is possible to create openings of different sizes for control or indication elements. A transparent window can be put in zone A

DIN-rail, screved to high-profile cap

It`s possible to attach a DIN-rail directly to high-profile cap. That allows to install up to three circuit breakers (or one 3-phase circuit breaker) on cap. In this case the upper part of circuit breakers will go through the lid and be accessible from the outside. This method can be used for other DIN devices also, requiring external access
